Important Info:
- Some factory systems do not provide a signal that allows the 1417 to provide the “last camera memory” function. Currently there is no way to externally differentiate whether the factory system provides this signal or not.
- We recommend NTSC cameras, however PAL cameras may also be compatible.
- The image of the side view cameras that can be set to come on when you indicate do not have a great image at night time. This is a limitation of the factory camera and not the COD system.
- When installing a trailer/caravan camera using the optional plug and play connection at the back of the vehicle (Part # 1417-1) there is no need to run cables from the back of the vehicle to the front.
- If using the additional AV inputs on the COD Module which can be activated by the Auxiliary switches, cables for the cameras do need to be run to the front of the vehicle.
